The short end of the LONG story: my teacher/amazing person/published author/screenwriter/future lit agent... LOVED the first chapter and last chapter of my book. She called it fascinating and sellable. (Yeah me!) However, she highly suggested that since my book is a first and I don't have a fan club outside the family- that I need to shave some pages off. Taking a 560 page book and cut it to 400 or less. Impossible? No, but a ton TON TON of work reading through the entire novel and taking and tightening paragraphs and quickening action... hence my tired bum, sore muscles and short blog post- yeah for you. ;)
And so- I did it! I did it! I did it!!! I edited and completely sped up the book and carried the plot adding more depth... basically this new draft rocks and that's great. And so- I sent off the manuscript tonight (ten minutes ago hence the over exuberant rant), so she can send it to her non-biased editors and in one week, the week of my final class I should have good news to report. *crossing the fingers, saying a prayer and nearly bawling*
This week has been hard on me emotionally cutting up my baby (the book of course), and of course physically as I've been on the computer all day, my mind nearly exploding with exhaustion every night. It's been hard, but I did it! I passed on the manuscript and it's out of my hands... for a bit anyway. Say a little prayer for me! And we'll chat later.

This is SO exciting! I am so glad that you pushed yourself to do it. I know it will pay off :) I am SOOOO happy for you. Keep up the good work!!
