This year we made it to Salt Lake for Thanksgiving- yeah! Although we had to dash home late Saturday night to avoid a looming snowstorm that ended up being awful, we took some great pics in before we left. :D
Jesi decided to try her hand in musical theatre this year and tried out for Christmas Carol. She not only received a speaking part, participated as a dancer but ALSO got a dance solo! Way to make a splash into theatre Jesi!

While we were at Jesi's play, Lexie had an accident. :( Poor gal slipped on the top stair and hit her eye on the hardwood floor. Her shiner was just so pretty, I took a couple pictures as the bruise got more lovely through the week as it healed.
Violin Concert
Before we drove home Saturday night, we were treated to a violin concert. My mom is very talented in the music department and plays a lot of instruments, violin being one of them. So my sisters had a their violin recital and showed off their blooming gifts. So proud of these girls for all their hard work. And the violins are just so cute and little!
Sinter Klaas
My dad is German, but served his mission in Holland and so on the 5th of Dec. we celebrate Sinter Klaas which is similar to Santa Clause in the Netherlands. Traditionally speaking, Sinter Klaas visits the homes of all the children while riding a white horse and gets help from Schwatze Pete. If you've been good, Sinter Klaas leaves treats in the wooden shoes you've left outside, but if you've been bad, Pete, his helper will steal the naughty children and ship them off to the America's! (Now we know where all those illegal immigrants came from!)
This was Lexie's first Sinter Klaas celebratory party and the first that my little sister's will remember. Great food, awesome recital, and wonderful entertainment provided by Sinter Klaas himself. Unfortunately, I didn't take any family pictures of us with our chocolate letters... Guess we'll have to take care of that next year! :D
