- So far, I've gone to too many to count. High school grad- at least three different ones.
- My Associate grad (thankfully Shane and I graduated at the same time- two birds with one stone- but I still detested graduation- my mother-in-law even fell asleep int he audience- we've got proof)
- I "got out of" Jernae's and Jesi's bachelor graduations (a point I'm not entirly sorry I missed... oops!)
- And now- Candace's Associate and Shane's BS (he he) graduation.
So I admit, I'm not looking forward to the new form of graduation going on at Dixie. This whole- meeting at 2 and then the individual department graduation at 4? The only thing I care about is how long will I be sitting in a hard chair?
Am I awful? Perhaps. But, let's not mistake my sarcasm as non-supportive. OH BOY! Let's not go there. This semester I've been extremely supportive to Shane and his schooling. In fact, I just sent off Shane's massive- 35 page capstone paper. That not only have I spent too many hours editing in his behalf, but editing usually leads to me doing A LOT of rewriting so the real question is- "who wrote Shane's paper?"
I'm not going to point fingers, but his paper was turned down twice (because it wasn't complete enough- credit to shane- he sent a rough draft), but once I got my hands on it- there's no way they're going to turn this puppy away. And rightfully so- graduation is next week and so is his presentation... Therefore- the paper is done, we both worked on it A LOT and it's almost behind us.
****massive deep breath***
Although I hate graduations with a passion- I'm really looking forward to next weeks!

Ha ha. Love the humor in this post! I hate graduations too, but I've only had to sit through my high school one. I think you're on to something suggesting a change in the graduation format, for sure.
